Isles have a depleted lineup tonight. So flames will probably play down to them…

Thanks Trever for the blog. Pulock, Bailey and Lee aren't playing for the Islanders.

Lucic having dinner with Chara wasn't too bright.. considering all the Isles players out with covid protocol.. if something happens he should get punished.. removed from PP "to give Coleman a chance".. put on 4th line..

Don’t worry I think he wore a mask and washed his hands afterwards.

And you'll be on the first float, and as Grand Marshall you'll lead it down the Street named for You. Are you excited ?

Monahan has lost his shadow. Dube and Pitlick can feel it, they haven't been the same since being paired with the "Ghost".........fearful that he will take theirs too.

I am waiting for Dube to take that next step. He has not contributed much this year. Wonder if he will be one of the Sutter casualties.

He played better at centre & his speed is a big upgrade on Monahan. Need to give these young guys time at that position. Something we didnt give enough time to Bennett. Dube needs a year on centring a 3rd line. Im just not sure why Flames are so reluctant to use Monahan on the wing with Dube at centre. Unfortunately the cap is dictating the lineup because Backlund & Monahan salaries are too high to bury on the 4th line for any length of time. It's simple caponomics. I think once Zary gets back to game shape & playing well in the AHL, Monahan may be moved & then you would have Dube & Zary fighting for that 3rd line spot.

Totally
Dube should be playing center. He looked really good playing with Mang, but who wouldn’t?
I don’t think Monahan is fully healthy, he still finding his way. Last year Sutter had him killing penalties and I believe he was trying to develope his game. I think we need to be patient and see where it goes. I liked him playing with Looch and Lewis but that’s a huge salary for a 4th line.

Hey Trevor have you heard if Vladar is getting the start in net tonight? Was checking the goalie stats, quite surprised where he sits. Can’t remember having 2 good goalies for a long time. All 13’ of them.
Wolf playing well in Stockton, maybe we finally have some depth.

They say it takes awhile to get that mobility & flexibility at the best times. Its one thing if you are just getting back to getting out of bed, walking & maybe golfing a few rounds after hip surgery. But tp play a contact sport like hockey at the highest level is a different animal altogether. Expectations are probably a little too high by most fans, understandably so. Unfortunately, patience is something we dont have when we are trying to go for it & this years team seem to be in a position to do that. We have 4 key players to get locked up. Gaudreau, which Im expecting to be in that 9.5 mill country, Tkachuk who wont be too far behind, Mangi is going to be in that6.0 mill country & Kyllington, who I hope Tre gets smart & inks this guy to a 6 year 24.0 mill type of extension as well. We're talking an extra $10.00mill over above what we are paying for the same players we already have. Means a few players we dont have the luxury of keeping. I dont mind the big Z but I think we re-up Gudbrandsson for a few more years for that 2.0-2.5 range & have to let big Z walk. We also will have to move Monahan cap hit & I have realized the return is going to be waaay below expectation.
Hopefully we can keep Lucic's cap hit. He's a very good presence in our lineup. If we can fit him I think we can extend him for dirt cheap as he's really enjoying himself here & I dont mind him on the 4th line at all.
Pitlick really hasnt done enough to warrant his $1.95. So we do have ways to trim cap to fit the must signings Treliving has to do but thank goodness Stockton is doing well & we have some young cheaper players ready to graduate.

Nothing confirmed from the Coach, but it’s probably a safe bet to say Vladar faces his former team.

I had hip replacement last December and can’t imagine playing hockey competively. It’s almost a year and I still have trouble putting my socks on let alone skates.
Could be my workout routine includes walking, riding my motorcycle, fishing and drinking beer.

I would hope Sutter rewards him for his effort. Facing your former team is always exciting and should rally the boys in front of him to play well.
